- Before 1970, KWV already used 9 classes, including class 33 wines & spirits, class 1 chemicals, class 29 meat, dairy & oils, class 31 fresh produce & pet food, class 32 beer & soft drinks.
- 1975: KWV moves into class 16 paper & print.
- 1982: KWV moves into class 35 advertising & retail; class 40 processing materials; class 41 education & entertainment; class 42 tech & IT services.
- 2005: KWV moves into class 38 telecoms.
- 2007: KWV moves into class 43 restaurants & hotels.
- By 2024, KWV had trademarks in 16 of the 45 classes.
